Gakuen what?

Gakuen Alice is a popular shojo manga/anime created by Higuchi Tachibana. It is currently ongoing in Japan with 13 volumes so far.

Gakuen Alice is about a girl named Sakura Mikan who travels to Alice Gakuen in search of her best friend, Hotaru Imai. But Alice Gakuen is not what it seems, for it is home to children who possess an ability called "alice". Mikan also finds out that she is an alice and decides to continue her schooling there. She soon meets a lot more people and so starts her adventures in the world of Alice Gakuen.

Bio: At first Natsume is introduced as a big perverted bully who does bad things to Mikan, but as the series/manga progresses we gain insight on why he is like that. He has a bestfriend and only real friend (that is until Mikan showed up), Nogi Ruka/Luca. After meeting Mikan, Natsume seems to open up to people more. (Or is that just me?). We also find out that Natsume's sister and father has a fire alice. His mother has another non-fire alice. So his family is an all-alice family. (Thankies to kuribayuki for the info :D)

Bio: Mikan is a very cheerful, determined but kind of naive girl. Mikan first comes to the academy in hope that she'll see her bestfriend, Hotaru, again. But upon getting there she gets a not so pleasant encounter with Natsume Hyuuga. Upon entering the academy, Mikan is assigned a partner who turns out to be Natsume himself. Most of the time in the series/manga Mikan is annoyed by Natsume's presence but in truth she really cares a lot for him (like she cares for Hotaru, Ruka, Tsubasa etc. XD).
